Barry’s interest in homes started back when he was a little boy. His father, a builder and master carpenter would take Barry to work at times and let him hammer a few nails into a piece of wood. As the years past, Barry gained more knowledge about construction. In 1997 after a very successful career in law enforcement, having received several outstanding managerial awards, Barry retired from the Connecticut Department of Correction as an administrator and decided to immediately pursue a new career in real estate. With his knowledge of construction, outstanding interpersonal , organizational and management skills, and his love of design and construction – real estate was a natural fit.
Barry’s honesty, integrity, experience & vast knowledge of the real estate market, as well as his extraordinary devotion to his clients is what makes Barry stand out in the real estate business. Seven years after becoming a realtor, he received his broker’s license. Barry has listed several homes in the Farmington Valley and Western Litchfield County that have sold for record prices. Barry realizes that buying a home is one of the biggest purchase or sales in a persons life, so he looks at his client’s home purchase/sale process as if it were his own home.
Barry was born in New Britain, CT, graduated from the University of Connecticut and has lived in Burlington since 1986with his wife and 3 children as well as a host of pets. He has coached soccer softball and little leagues, served on Burlington’s Charter Commission, and is the Chairman of the Ethics Commission. Barry enjoys sports, especially golf and is a member of the Golf Club of Avon. Mostly, Barry likes to spend time with his family and friends of which he thankfully he has many.

Elizabeth (Betty) Goodwin: Born in the Hartford area, Betty graduated from Ethel Walker School and Vassar College. She then taught at the West Hartford School of Music before moving to Harwinton in 1965 with her husband and three children. Betty enrolled in courses at UCONN to become a real estate salesperson, State Certified Municipal Assessor and Residential Appraiser. Recently retired as Harwinton’s Chairman of Assessors, is now focused primarily in the real estate field. Betty joined Partners in the early 1980’s and has been active with buyers and sellers, particularly in Harwinton, Litchfield and Torrington.
